About Mole Removal

By

In some cases, having a mole adds to a person's character. Just ask Marilyn Monroe, Cindy Crawford, Enrique Iglesias, and Madonna. In many cases, however, moles can prove to be unattractive and irritating, especially when they are in areas where they can constantly rub against clothing.

The answer to this is mole removal.

There are many ways to remove moles, ranging from do-it-yourself methods, to over-the-counter medication, to surgery. Any of these can prove to be effective, as long as done with proper caution and care.

Laser mole removal is one of the most common treatments offered by dermatologists. Using medical lasers, the dermatologist literally burns the mole away, leaving only a scab that falls off within seven days, and some scarring. An alternative to this is electrocautery, which uses the same principle, but instead uses an electric current. For both methods, patients might be required to come back for several treatments, before the mole is completely removed.

For those that cannot afford this, do-it-yourself medication, such as mole removal cream, can be the answer. Mole removal creams work by slowly drying up the mole, until it just falls off the skin. This might not be as fast a solution as laser or electrocautery, but because creams are cheaper, it is a very popular mole remover for many people.

There are also some home remedies that can be used by those looking to save more money. These involve using the same herbs and oils found in mole removal creams. Surprisingly, many of these creams have natural ingredients that can be found in the garden or a kitchen, such as Castor oil. Mixing these ingredients and creating your own paste can be a cheap method of remove moles, but remember to take the necessary precautions to prevent allergic reactions and irritations.

With these removal methods, moles are not a problem anymore. Choose what you think would be best for you, and soon that mole will be gone!

The latest technology in removing unwanted moles has to be Radio Frequency Surgery, which claimed to have rapid healing and zero scarring as compared to other mole removal surgery procedures.

Not only can they be unsightly, some can lead to cancer. When I was in high school, my doctor removed 2 from my back. Back then he cut them out leaving 2 nice big scars. Wish that he could have done something a little less invasive like what you have talked about.

This is something I'll need to think about soon, I have two large moles that my doctor wants to have removed. Great overview!

Thanks for this important information! My family has a history of pre-cancerous moles and it's really important that people are proactive and get them checked out and removed if necessary.
