Bentley Motors started as an idea by W.O. Bentley in 1919, who had the goal “To build a good car, a fast car, the best in class.” And he intended to do this with experience building aircraft engines in World War I, along with his brother.

Each Bentley auto is hand crafted by highly skilled engineers and craftsmen, using only the highest quality natural materials. This makes every Bentley special, and has turned the company's cars into famous icons in pop culture, film, T.V., and literature. Bentleys have been featured in James Bond, The Avengers series, The Thomas Crown Affair, and was used by Queen Elizabeth II as a State Limousine in celebration of the Golden Jubilee.

One of the most popular Bentley models is the Bentley Turbo R, which is a high performance model with a V8 turbocharged engine, using fuel injection to add more torque. Its retuned suspension and tuned dampers gave the car a smoother ride, by reducing side to side movement when turning corners.

The Azure is a 2-door Bentley Convertible, with an updated engine that was added to the model in 2006. It has a top speed of 160 mph, and has a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds. The Azure T, a high performance version of the Bentley Azure with leather seats and 500hp engine, had an even better performance, with a top speed of 179 mph, and a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds.

The Bentley Continental GT is a large luxury coupe, with the GTC model becoming the 2nd Bentley convertible released. Using a W12 engine, it can reach a top speed of 195.1 mph, with a 0-60 time of 5 seconds. The GT Speed edition is the fastest four-seater in the world, even with its heavy weight of 5,000lbs. It can reach a top speed of 202 mph and a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds.

The Supersports variant of the Continental is Bentley's best handling car, and is also the fastest and most powerful Bentley convertible ever built. With a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 202 mph, it is an extremely powerful supercar.

Despite Bentley's premium prices, Bentley sales have increased regularly, and in 2007, the company sold over 10,000 cars.
